Fantastic experience: I found this school on Google while looking for a more practical way to improve my English, and the Callan Method immediately caught my interest. As someone who struggles with social anxiety and was selectively mute throughout middle and high school, speaking has always been a challenge for me. I really wanted to build my confidence in conversations, especially in English. I've been taking both online and one-to-one classes for about a month and a half now, and I’m very glad I did. Tom is a very friendly and patient teacher. His explanations are clear, and he's helped me a lot with my pronunciation. Jen is also incredibly kind, and I love the variety of topics she provides for us, as it keeps things engaging and fun. I always look forward to my classes. Fantastic experience: Tom is such a passionate, witty, and experienced teacher with so much know-how! I’ve been taking classes with him for nearly two months now, and I truly believe that if I keep learning with him, my English skills will improve heaps. Fantastic experience: I found this school on Google and decided to take some classes, and I’m so glad I did—it was the best decision! Tom is incredibly patient and corrects my mistakes without making me feel uncomfortable. What I really appreciate is that the lessons weren’t just about fixing my pronunciation. Tom took the time to understand my goals and what I wanted to achieve, so we also worked on other areas of my speaking skills. By the fourth class, we had identified almost all of my problem areas. I looked at many different schools but this one seemed the most flexible around my life. The classes were really fun and I learnt so much very quickly. And the teacher is so nice! Fantastic experience: I booked 24 classes with Ace Academy, and last Friday was my ninth class. Finally, I figured out the problems with my pronunciation that I have suffered for many years. My Vietnamese accent is very strong, even though I have been living in the country for years. Tom is an excellent and energetic teacher. He put lots of effort into our lessons and tried to help me his best with pronunciation like “th”, “t”, “s”, “f”, “v”and “r”. I enjoyed our lessons so much that I booked 24 more classes for April, May and June. I firmly believe that after my 48 lessons, I will feel more confident and eliminate my heavy Viet’s accent. Fantastic experience: Tomoko Thank you so much for your patience, warm support, helpful advice, and encouragement. 今回、大学院の条件許可書で３ヶ月以内にPTE 64以上を目指さなければならなくなり、急遽トムにお願いして、 PTE対策をお願いしました。特に発音に関して、意識しなければAIに認識してもらえない程でしたので、発音、発声に重点を置いていただきました。発音記号や音声を聞いても違いにあまり気づけないこと自体が問題だったかもしれません。トムの指導の良い所は、少しの違いも見逃さずに、きちんと矯正するように指導してくれるところです。私の場合は数秒毎に訂正が入ります。もしPTE 64という目標がなければ、挫折しそうな頻度だと思いますが、トムは、温かく、間違えても大丈夫というスタンスでフォローしてくださいました。ひたすら上達したいという思いでなんとか苦手な”th","r","l"...他にもありましたが、トムの独特な指導法もあり、今では自信を持って発音できるようになり、色々な人の音の違いにも気づけるようになりました。応用言語学を１年間学んだのですが、今なら音声の分析もスムーズにできたかもしれません。。。大学で学んだ音声学では私の発音は残念ながら、自分で矯正は出来ませんでしたが、トム独特の発音、発声記号は驚くほど、ネイティブやAIに受け入れられる発音矯正記号だと言えます。なんとか２ヶ月半でPTEの目標もクリアし、新しく学ぶ大学からも無事入学許可をもらいました。現在、入学し数週間経ちましたが、トムのPTE対策のおかげで、授業も自信を持って発表できるようになりました。トムの忍耐強さ、穏やかさ、涵養さは第２言語習得には欠かせない重要なエッセンスだと思います。これからもトムに学んだことを活かして英語学習を楽しみたいと思います。

Fantastic experience: Ace Language Academy is amazing. I took six months of 1 on 1 classes with the teacher, Tom (48 classes) My focus was to improve my speaking both in business and daily conversations. First thing we did was to figure out my typical mistakes in terms of pronunciation. Then we set the target to correct my pronunciation like th, r and l, dr and tr etc. We considered a plan to achieve our target accordingly. One thing I really like about this class was its flexibility. Although we use a textbook of callan methods, he is happy to help and spend our time to tackle on my specific struggles both in speaking and writing, meaning it's not a boring lesson where you just read a textbook and fill out the worksheet but instead, it's a specially tailored class that only works for you! In some classes, we reviewed my daiary to make it like native writer . In other classes, we discussed how I sounds more natural but consise in conversation with my friends, workmates and people from external company. Every week I noted my new struggles, questions or findings to my memo and share them in the class, where he gave me great feedbacks that helps to learn them effectively. He also helps to learn Aussy native slungs that I can use outside of work when I hang out with native friends. He doesn't only focus on improving in formal conversation, but also in daily life conversation as well. Actually, his friendly character and funny conversation motivated my learning in a better way!! Now I've just finished our last class and I am sure that I improved drastically in speaking and writing. My pronunciation become more accurate and I can speak more fluently with confidence. Though I still make many grammertical or vocabulary mistakes, my local workmates sometimes says to me my English is way better than I used to. This class is absolutely helpful for all those who wants to improve their English skills. I would be happy to recomend to others!! Great appreciation to your amazing class Tom! Cheers mate :)

Fantastic experience: Tom has been helping injured people on work cover upgrade their English skills to help them redirect their vocational pathway. He is patient, empathetic and client centric. A much better option when compared to the bigger company's which tend to be less personal.

Fantastic experience: Tom is a great Teacher. He found the time to drive on a Sunday morning to my gym ( 45 minutes fahr from his house) to help one of his student in understanding better the vocabulary that we use in the fitness industry and exercises. Tom really helps his students in real life situations and in this case the student is now comfortable in joining all fitness classes in our gym. I highly recommend Tom!

Fantastic experience: Tom at ACE Language Academy is amazing and inspired me and encourages the students to improve to work and to make things possible. He is very dedicated and makes a lot of effort and is very patient to make time for us. I enjoy actually coming to school and he is very friendly. For me, I'm having a great time instead of having a class I'm conversing and feel comfortable but I still improve. Due to his effort, I feel like I can do it. I am able to listen better and apply all the advice and techniques and I can see the difference because even small and small things like TH which is so difficult and a key challenge, now if I say it incorrectly and I correct it and people understand me and it creates confidence.

Fantastic experience: I have never experienced an English class like this! It's useful for everyday life. It's different because I can practice my English speaking and the topic is my real life. So, by doing this, I can remember everything much easier because our vocabulary and sentences are about my life. This is very interesting and completely different from other English schools. Other schools are just from the textbook, like a machine. Other schools and classes are ok but can be quite boring. When I finish lessons from other schools, I still can't speak about my life to people in everyday life. ALA is fun and is actually about my life and I can use what I learn. The topic is my story and use this topic and practice my English speaking. Like today in our class, I can actually use what I learned with my staff and friends and it is from the English class I had today. I use the sentences and vocab from my class and it is clear. I can remember what to say when I speak to people. I don't forget. I learn quickly.

Fantastic experience: 톰은 아주 열정적인 튜터 입니다. 또한 멜버른 에서 아주 찾기 힘든 좋은 개인교사 입니다. 그는 아주 세심하게 영어수업을 진행 합니다. 현재 저는 2주 동안 수업을 하였고 96주 수업을 할것을 이미 저번주에 결정했습니다. 톰과의 첫주 수업에서 한국인들이 취약한 발음을 교정할수 있습니다. 또한 앞으로의 수업에서 저의 영어 능력이 향상 될수있다고 기대하고 있습니다.

Fantastic experience: I was preparing for the PTE exam a while ago. I was worried because my speaking score was too low, and my wife, who was taking Tom's class, recommended me to take his class. After taking his class, my speaking score went up amazingly, and I was able to find my underlying speaking problem, so I was able to pass the exam this time. If you have trouble with pronunciation or fluency like me, be sure to seek help from Tom. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Tom is a great teacher! Classes are very enjoyable and easy to learn. He never makes you feel like you are asking stupid questions and is always ready to help you out. PS: don’t forget to bring donuts.

Fantastic experience: Tom is a professional English teacher, since I am taking lessons with him, I have improved my pronunciation specific letters (TH – W), He is patient and constantly gives you feedback on the mistakes you are making to improve your pronunciation. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience: I must say that Tom is a fantastic English teacher to learn from. He fixes my pronunciation when I speak using specific letters (ex. L, R, TH) that most Japanese people struggle with. He shows me immediately as I'm talking and explains exactly how to move my mouth. He also simplifies the ways to say difficult words (ex. DR=J, TR=CH). I need to practice more but I'm much more confident saying words aloud. He also coaches regarding job interviews. He points out which answers are suitable and which words should be emphasised etc. Without him I wouldn't have built up my confidence to the level it is today. Thank you Tom

Es admirable la pasión que Tom le pone a cada una de sus clases, me hace sentir muy motivada y segura que estoy en el lugar correcto. Nunca pense que podría mejorar mi pronunciación en solo 3 clases.
