Fantastic experience: Langports is the best English school in Brisbane. They have the best English teachers always kind and smart. The facilities are really modern, and the environment is very enjoyable. It’s one of the best experiences someone can have in their life.

Negative experience: One of the worst schools in Australia. The staff are rude and badly trained. Don't go to this school.

Negative experience: I miss this place

Negative experience: À fuir. Extrêmement cher pour la qualité des cours proposés. Un professeur qui se comporte comme dans l’armée : aucune pédagogie, il se contente de réciter le manuel sans la moindre explication. Aucun échange, aucun accompagnement réel. L’ambiance générale est infantilisante. On vous parle comme à des enfants : rappels au silence pendant les cours, confiscation des téléphones, convocation en cas de retard, même minime… J’ai 23 ans, j’ai terminé un master, je ne suis pas venu ici pour être traité comme un lycéen. À cela s’ajoute une absence totale de mixité culturelle : la majorité écrasante des étudiants vient d’Asie de l’Est (principalement du Japon). Résultat : très peu d’interaction multiculturelle ou d’ouverture, ce qui est décevant quand on choisit de partir à l’étranger en espérant vivre une expérience vraiment internationale. Côté logement, c’est encore pire. L’établissement gère également les chambres de Student One. J’ai payé une formule incluant le ménage mensuel dans mon appartement : deux mois plus tard, toujours aucun passage. Résultat : des placards infestés de nourriture pourrie, des salles de bain noircies par le manque d’entretien… une véritable honte. Quand vous osez vous plaindre, la réponse est surréaliste : « Ma fille est allée à Paris, elle n’avait pas le ménage non plus, donc tu prends un aspirateur et tu le fais toi-même. » Du mépris total. Bref, un lieu qui manque de respect à ses étudiants sur tous les plans : pédagogique, humain, organisationnel, culturel. Je ne le recommande à personne.

Fantastic experience: 幫小孩報名了這個語文學校，上課共5周。整體小孩上課的很開心，小孩反應的問題，學校老師都會依依解答，且很有耐心，也會不斷提醒小孩English only，學校在布里斯本的市中心，交通非常便利，旁邊就是有名的教堂，前面有個公園。小孩上課時間是早上到中午12:30下課，在這裡認識了新朋友，也時常同學一起出遊，學校安排的活動很多，是屬於自由報名，多數活動都要自費。

Negative experience: I attended Langports for one month and graduated a few months ago. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are a few important points to keep in mind. The positive aspects: The school maintains a strict English-only policy on campus, which I found very helpful for improving my language skills and immersing myself in Australian culture. The learning materials, including a textbook (included in the tuition), were well-structured and covered a range of relevant topics. Weekly progress tests were also a good initiative. Things to be aware of: The student population is quite young—mostly between 18 and 23 years old. While this creates a dynamic atmosphere, it might feel less suited for older students or professionals, like myself, approaching their 30s. When enrolling, students can indicate a preference for morning or afternoon classes. I requested morning classes but was placed in the afternoon group. Unfortunately, I wasn’t informed in advance that morning slots might be unavailable due to high demand. This had a real impact on my ability to look for a job alongside my studies. I also found some of the classroom conditions and teaching methods a bit repetitive. The classrooms are dimly lit, and lessons were often delivered in the same format, which made it harder to stay engaged—especially for students who already have a solid foundation in English. A more varied and updated approach to teaching would be welcome. Additionally, while progress tests were given weekly, I didn’t receive any feedback or guidance on how to improve. A few elective teachers did provide comments, which I appreciated, but overall, feedback was lacking. Finally, while the school environment aims to be structured, I personally found some aspects of the policy and communication style to be a bit overly strict or infantilizing—for example, being frequently reminded to be silent, punctual, or speak English. At one point, I had to miss a class for a medical appointment related to my visa. Despite informing both the teacher and the admin team in advance, I wasn’t offered an alternative session or even the class materials. Despite these challenges, I still had a good time at Langports. I think it’s a great option for younger students, those at a beginner to intermediate level, or anyone preparing for IELTS. Just make sure it matches your learning style and expectations.

Fantastic experience: The teacher explains things in an easy-to-understand way, and my friends are nice, so I have a lot of fun.

Fantastic experience: I thought it was impossible for me to learn English and although I know I still have a long way to go, I have to thank all the staff at Langport. The kindness, the way they teach and the patience they have to teach you always with a smile, have made me fall in love with English and even more so with this wonderful country. I had the privilege of learning from Atea, David, and Mark, each an outstanding teacher with unique and effective approaches to teaching. I also miss Mizuho, the wonderful secretary who was always so helpful and kind.

Negative experience: Beware of Langports: My Visa and Refund Issues This post is intended to help new English students or those planning to renew their course to carefully analyze the quality of education at Langports. The school promotes itself as the best in Brisbane, but after studying there for one month, I can say it’s just an average school. It doesn’t offer anything special to justify the higher fees, which I unfortunately paid. Another issue is that I had a problem with my visa and had to cancel the course to return home. However, their contract does not cover refunds after the classes start, even if you have a force majeure, like a serious problem. So guys, be careful and protect your money. I don’t recommend doing business with a company that only cares about its own interests.

Fantastic experience: Excelente colegio para aprender ingles, tienen muy buenos profesores y las instalaciones son comodas.

Negative experience: I regret having spent my money on this school, first of all they promised me to have classes in the morning when we arrived they put me in the afternoons. I arranged my whole life so that it would fit but in the afternoons you don't have any more levels so if you improve you have to go to the morning, but the morning is always full. Furthermore, some staff and some teachers are racist, sexist and homophobic. It doesn't seem to me that a school full of international students allows this and is more concerned about doing fun activities than focusing on what they promise, because English is not a priority.

Negative experience: I was at Langports school in Brisbane in October. I was very disappointed and angry. I quit the school after 1 week. I booked the school and the apartment with a big company in Switzerland, and they promised that I would have classes in the mornings from 8 am -12 pm. When I was at Langports, I had school from 1:30 pm-5:30pm. That was for me a big difference and I very dissatisfied. Naturally I complained, but it did not work. The classes in the mornings were "full." Because of that, I was with 3 other students at school. That is not a class, rather a group. That's not what was promised to me. For the afternoon instructions, I didn't move to Brisbane, and paid a lot of money. Also, the teaching style and the school books were very weird and outdated. For me the school concept did not meet high standards or European standards. Langports has many students from the Asian continent. In my opinion, there is a lack of diversity. Now I'm back in Switzerland. Luckily I have found a very good teacher on Preply, for a fair deal, which keeps what it promises. A language stay was a long-time dream of mine, therefore I'm very angry and disappointed. That was a useless financial fiasco! I wouldn't recommend the school!

Negative experience: 日本人の割合が非常に多く、留学の意味があまりなかった。 授業も神経衰弱のような(go なら過去形のwent を探す)意味のないカードゲームがあったりお金の無駄になった。 途中解約したかったが、一度授業が始まってしまうと絶対に返金してもらえなかった。 通うとしても一ヵ月で充分だと思う。 どちらにせよ、日本から申し込むのはお勧めしない。 現地に行って学校をいくつか見学してから申し込んだ方がお金の無駄にはならないと思う。

Fantastic experience: My experience at Langports English Collage has been amazing so far. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, their main goal is for the students to enjoy their stay at Brisbane while they learn as much as they can. The teachers are so patient, they always try to make the class fun and appealing. The installations are really nice, clean and comfortable. Being able to interact with people from so many countries in the world gives you the chance to practice your English skills and learn about so many beautiful cultures. In my opinion the only thing I have found problematic is the mixture of different levels of English in one classroom because some students could find the class either too difficult or too easy. But given the fact that the school is just reopening after two years due to Covid, I think they are seriously doing a wonderful job. So I would definitely recommend to everyone who is thinking to enroll to stop thinking and do it! Carla from México.

I’m honored to be one of the first student to return to Langports after this pandemic of Covid-19 which has blocked all the world. I was very well received and so happy to be there. Fantastic experience: The best school ever. The staff, the infrastructures, the activities and show on. The more you spend time at Langports, the more you want to extend your course. After 28 weeks studying at Langports I have improved a lot and now I am capable to speak fluently.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky to study in Langports Sydney and Langports Brisbane ... at first I felt very nervous but they were all very friendly and always helped me, from the reception, teachers and classmates. I am very happy to have known a school in which it doesn't matter the age or origin, it only matters to get well and have fun learning English. I will never forget this experience. Now I have new friends all over the world besides learning English. They care a lot about teaching quality (because I participated in surveys), and they also worry about doing activities where we can practice English and we can also make new friends. I have really enjoyed all my time in Langports, I am very satisfied and I recommend it 100%

All the staff and teachers are super friendly, supportive and accommodative. I felt their passion for what was taught, their attention to us improving with our English and the effort placed to make us enjoy the time in Langports. Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend this school!!!! I have stayed for only 8 weeks but I could make wonderful memories at Langpors. There are a lot of choices of course and you can choose these depending on your levels. (If you are not sure of your level, the AWESOME teachers may help you.) People change every class if you take UFO course so it’s easy to make new friends. I think that there were a lot of opportunities to talk in the classes. I feel that that’s why my speaking skill improved the most. I especially enjoyed optional class, which is about Business English. That was little bit challenging class (I think) but if you want to improve English skill, it definitely helps! There are a lot of activities after school (almost every day), so you can enjoy school life with friends at Langports. 私は8週間だけしかいませんでしたが、Langportsに通って、とても濃い留学生活ができました。この学校ではUFOという独自のコースを取り入れていて、自分の得意不得意な能力に合わせて、毎回クラスがレベルごとで変わるので、ついていけないとか、物足りないと思うことはありませんでした。（毎週先生と面談があるので、クラス変えたいとかは相談することができましたし）また、午後のクラスでは自分の興味があり、自分のレベルにあったクラスとることができ、とても楽しかったです。（私はビジネス英語をとっていましたが、先生も一緒に受けている生徒もレベルが高く、とても刺激になり、ためになりました！） 放課後にはたくさんのアクティビティーがあったので、参加すればきっと留学生活がより楽しくなると思います。私はLangporsを選んでよかったと思います。

Negative experience: Sucks

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend this school if you want to improve your english skills. Maybe it is good for people with a low level, but when you try prepare a C1 level it's just useless. I had to wait 3 weeks to move to a next level, so I had the impression I was loosing my time. It's a very expensive school and for the money we were spending here, I don't think I really learned anything useful. I'm sure you can find other schools more serious if your idea is to really improve your english skills.

(They are the best ever) I can not name all teachers since they have so many brilliant teachers. Also the directors Matt and Terry are so friendly and respectful. and The Activities manged by Angus are so enjoyable and Angus is very cheerful and friendly. Fantastic experience: Having stayed here for four months, I feel I can speak English more fluently and confidently. The staff and students are really friendly, helpful, and supportive. You may meet friends of lifetime here in the big family. There are tons of activities after school. You can attend sports, pubs, BBQ, long trips to islands or rain forests, and an international food party every three months. Never worry about being bored at Langports. The only demerit, however, is the school time is too short. It finishes by 3 pm every day and even 12.30 on Fri. You may feel a bit ripped off, but that means you need to seize every chance to learn and have fun!
