At BROWNS, we have a uniform policy in place for our school preparation courses to support student safety and help foster a sense of equality and belonging—similar to the expectations in Australian high schools.

During the colder months, students can purchase the official BROWNS Hoodie at reception or alternatively wear a long-sleeve shirt (black, grey, white or red) underneath their red BROWNS Polo Shirt. For safety reasons, if a student is not wearing the BROWNS Hoodie, the red BROWNS Polo Shirt must remain visible at all times.

While microwaves are not commonly available in Australian high schools, we choose to provide them at BROWNS as an added convenience for our students. We acknowledge that there may be wait times during peak lunch periods; however, the one-hour break is designed to allow sufficient time for students to heat and enjoy their meals.

It's wonderful that the homestay family helped her feel at ease and made her time here more comfortable.

We’re glad she had fun exploring the city, spending time with new friends, and enjoying her independence outside of class. Our Junior Holiday Program is designed to provide a fun and culturally enriching experience for younger learners, with a focus on enjoyment and confidence-building in English, rather than intensive academic instruction.

For families seeking a more academically focused program with structured class levels based on English proficiency, we would recommend our Primary or High School Preparation program.

It is disheartening to hear about the difficulties you encountered with your homestay, and we take your feedback seriously, as we are committed to ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our students. Your experience does not reflect the standards we strive to maintain and we certainly had not received any negative feedback about this family before. Rest assured, our team is investigating the concerns you have raised.

Furthermore, we do allow students to cancel their homestay, however we ask for two-weeks notice. This timeframe allows us to make necessary arrangements with the host families, as we prepay them in advance.
